Program Details
You can gain either initial or professional certification with the Master of Science in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Mercy College. This online ESL master’s degree requires a student teaching experience for initial certification. For professional certification, candidates complete 20 days of clinical practice in an ESL PreK-12 setting.
The online content not only imparts multiple professional and pedagogical strategies for effective teaching, but it also teaches you to promote the social, emotional, and intellectual development of your students. Through your online ESL coursework, you come to understand diverse cultures.
