Marian University is a four-year private Catholic school located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The school was founded in 1851 by the Sisters of St. Francis as a teacher training school that would serve the educational needs of the German-Catholic residents of southern Indiana. After many name changes over the years, Marian College became Marian University in 2009. The educational experience at MU emphasizes a Franciscan understanding of the values of the dignity of the individual, peace and justice, reconciliation, and responsible stewardship, but students of all faiths are welcome at MU.

Marian's Adult Programs offers a variety of degrees, certificates, and classes that are specifically designed for working adults to complete a college degree or get more experience through a certificate program. They offer online, hybrid and classroom-based courses.
