The master’s degree in Art History and Visual Culture explores the approaches and materials used in artwork through different eras. Courses take a look at both traditional and modern approaches to art.

Students learn about the structures that artwork was produced in, how they were used, and how visual culture conveys meaning. Electives in topics such as Baroque art, history of photography, and history of costume design and fashion allow students to customize the degree to their interests.
