The online Graduate Certificate in Mathematics Education gives current math teachers a deeper understanding of math concepts and math education pedagogy. This flexible and diverse program allows each individual to cater the program to fit their specific professional and personal interests and needs by choosing which courses to take in each area of the curriculum. Students will take five courses in math concepts, such as number operations, number theory, algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus, and an additional course in math teaching pedagogy from Meeting Diverse Needs in the Mathematics Classroom, Assessment Issues in Mathematics, and Using Technology to Integrate Mathematics Across the Curriculum.
