The online Graduate Certificate in Literacy for the Classroom Teacher for grades K-8 program develops a strong foundation in literacy learning, along with its application across diverse populations and content areas.  The curriculum provides strategies to use technology to enhance multiple literacies, integrate reading and writing in the classroom, and use authentic literature to match readers and text.  It deepens individuals’ understandings of literacy as they discover methods for incorporating language and learning in the K-8 classroom.  Graduates are ready to help students learn in creative environments that promote inclusiveness and skill development.
