Program Details

The Master of Arts in Human Services from Lenoir-Rhyne University is an online human services degree for those interested in helping others and making the world a better place.  Students learn to act as change agents in such areas as poverty, health care access, child and youth services, addiction, or career placement, helping to improve the well-being and quality of life of others.  The curriculum uses the creative application of knowledge, theory, and skills to provide a broad understanding of subject matter, bibliographic resources, theory, practice, and scholarly research in the field.  Students learn to interpret, analyze, synthesize, and communicate knowledge while developing the skills needed to practice and advance in human services professions.  Each student chooses a professional track:

Graduates are prepared for such careers as caring for vulnerable client populations, supervising personnel, managing public agencies or nonprofit organizations, or administering programs and services.
