Lenoir Community College is a two-year public school located in Kinston, North Carolina. LCC was established in 1958 by the State Board of Legislation. Lenoir Community College is part of the North Carolina Community College System. The school serves nearly 850,000 citizens annually through its primary service area, which includes Lenoir, Greene, and Jones counties. The mission of Lenoir Community College is to “meet the personal, cultural, and professional educational needs of our students through affordable, accessible, and innovative educational programs.”
Lenoir Community College offers certificates of completion and associate’s degrees. The College offers many certificates and diploma options requiring less than two years for completion. Classes are offered during the daytime, evening, weekend, and in online format. Distance Education courses carry the same academic credit and rigor as traditional on-campus classes and follow the same semester start and end times.
