Program Details

The Associate of Applied Science in Accounting from Lamar Institute of Technology is an online accounting degree program that prepares students for careers in the field.  This is a two-year program designed for those planning on entering the workforce as accounting paraprofessionals in business, industry, government, or public accounting.  The curriculum includes general education courses, such as writing, mathematics, and speech, and technical courses including accounting, small business, economics, and computer applications.  Courses teach students general business practices and how to use spreadsheets and databases, particularly in accounting.
