Program Details

The Small Business Accounting Certificate is available from Lakeland Community College.  This certificate program is designed for those responsible for the accounting and finance functions of a small business.  It can also be used as a way to begin earning an associate degree in accounting, with all of the credits earned being applicable toward this degree.  The curriculum covers a variety of accounting areas. 

You will take such courses as:

  • Introduction to Financial Accounting
  • Introduction to Managerial Accounting
  • Financial Analysis Using Spreadsheets
  • Accounting Information Systems
  • Financial Management for the Small Business

Requirements

  • Official high school transcript or GED
  • College transcripts, if applicable
  • ACT/SAT scores or placement test
