Jefferson State Community College, as a comprehensive, public, two-year, community college, exists to provide an educational environment in which the needs of the individual student, the community, and other target audiences can be met. Within this educational environment, Jefferson State endeavors to make collegiate education accessible to all who seek it.
Jefferson State is one of the largest community colleges in the state, currently offering university transfer programs, career programs and numerous certificate programs at our four campuses in Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair and Chilton counties. In addition to these campuses, Jefferson State has an extensive online presence to allow flexible learning from any location.
