Jefferson Community College is one of 64 campuses—and one of 30 community colleges—that comprise the State University of New York (SUNY) system. The College is supervised by the State University of New York and sponsored by Jefferson County. Its service area is largely rural, with agriculture and tourism the dominant industries. Jefferson Community College’s mission is to “Educate. Inspire. Empower.” It strives to transform lives. Students will be prepared to either enter a 4-year institution or immediately enter their careers.

The College offers more than 40 degrees and certificates. To ease transfer, Jefferson has articulation agreements with colleges and universities across the United States. JCC offers a wide variety of online courses each semester, as well as several degree programs that can be completed fully online. Jefferson Community College online degrees allow students to study wherever there is an internet connection. While you cannot set your own pace, you can take classes when and where it is convenient.
