Program Details

Ivy Tech Community College offers a Technical Certificate in Informatics, an online computer information systems degree.  This degree can be earned while working on the Associate of Applied Science degree.  With many jobs now requiring advanced education beyond high school, this certification provides the conceptual and technical skills required for specific occupations.  The curriculum is designed to develop competency in general and technical skills in the informatics field.  Students will learn about the use of technical skills in technology to communicate and solve interdisciplinary problems in society.  This is a starting point for those interested in infusing information science and technology into people’s daily lives.
