Program Details

The Associate of Science in Informatics, an online computer information systems degree from Ivy Tech Community College, is primarily a transfer degree for those interested in pursuing baccalaureate degrees.  With the “Transfer as a Junior” program offered at Ivy Tech Community College, students are able to transfer to a four-year institution seamlessly, entering at a junior status and saving money in the process.  

This curriculum provides a strong foundation in fundamental areas such as computing, networking, and mathematics while helping students understand how technology is used in society.  You will learn about the use of technology in communication and in solving interdisciplinary problems facing society, studying how people interact with computers to increase productivity and infuse information science and technology into all areas of their lives.  Students will learn to critically analyze approaches to processing information and develop skills in designing, implementing, and evaluating information technology tools.
