Program Details

The online Master of Science in Special Education program prepares educators for worthwhile careers helping students of all abilities excel in the classroom and beyond.  Educators learn to create an inclusive, barrier-free environment where all students can reach their potential.  The curriculum can be tailored based on each individual’s prior licensure, experience, and coursework as they gain tools and knowledge needed to teach special education in child and family service agencies, group homes, medical settings, other social service agencies, and public and private schools.


  • Hold a baccalaureate degree granted by a regionally accredited institution
  • Have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all undergraduate coursework; or have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all courses taken at the graduate level
  • Other application materials may be required
  • The GRE is not required
