Program Details

The online Genomic Advocacy Graduate Certificate uses an interdisciplinary approach, combining studies in biology, political science, business, and ethics, as students gain a working knowledge of genomics.  Students learn to interpret genomic data, act with skill and sensitivity, and understand the societal issues arising from legal, insurance, and ethical realms.  Courses include topics in genome science, bioethics, public policy, and business and consumer implications of genomics.

Requirements

  • Hold a baccalaureate degree granted by a regionally accredited institution
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 in all undergraduate coursework OR a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework or in all courses taken at the graduate level

Geographic Restrictions

This program is closed to students residing in countries other than Canada and the United States (including U.S. Territories). The exceptions are U.S. military and State Department personnel and their family members with APO/FPO addresses.
