Program Details

The online Associate of Science in Criminal Justice program prepares students for entry-level careers in the criminal justice system and is also a starting point for those looking at furthering their educations in other university majors or in police academies.  The curriculum examines the criminal justice system as a whole, while looking at the individual components it is comprised of, such as the police force, the courts, and the corrections system.  Graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the legal system
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the major components of the criminal justice system
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills
  • Understand the role of and limitations on professionals in the field
  • Understand the importance of ethical behavior
