If you are planning on entering the workforce immediately after graduation and pursuing a career in healthcare, check out the Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Management & Technology.  Online health informatics degree programs prepare students for a career as a medical office assistant, health information technician, medical coding specialist, or health insurance billing specialist.  

While studying for a position in this rapidly growing field, you will learn to analyze, secure, and maintain patient health information, and may be responsible for quality assurance, computer information services, and coding diagnoses and procedures for reimbursement.  Coursework improves skills in:
