Grambling State University is a public historically black university. It offers over forty undergraduate, certificate, and graduate programs. The undergraduate population is about 4,000 students. Today, it is one of the top producers of African American graduates.

The undergraduate degrees are supported by a well-rounded, traditional liberal arts education, while the graduate degrees focus in on professional preparation.
