Program Overview

The online AS in Social Work is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to obtain entry-level employment in public and private social service agencies as well as give them a good understanding of what is involved in the career of a social worker. Graduates may gain employment as mental health technicians and eligibility determination specialists with an associate degree in social work, although many students go on to pursue a baccalaureate.

    School Overview

    Georgia Military College (GMC) was established in 1879 by act of the Georgia General Assembly "…to educate young men and women from the Middle Georgia area in an environment which fosters the qualities of good citizenship." Georgia Military College offers a liberal-arts based, two-year curriculum designed to support student attainment of an associate degree and prepares students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Georgia Military College offers associate degrees, many of which can be earned online.
