Program Details

The online Bachelor of Professional Studies in Aging Services, a liberal arts degree program, offers a solid foundation in the physical and social aspects of aging.  With a focus on the Christian faith, the curriculum teaches students to apply their faith to all areas of the aging services field and to value every individual at each stage of life, stressing the importance of serving the elderly with mercy and love.  Courses in this liberal arts degree cover a variety of skills and topics, including non-medical direct care services and support, program planning and evaluation, aging services law and administration, systems and case management, professional ethics, and relevant social, health, and political issues.  You will gain insights that will help provide a high level of care to the elderly as you learn effective approaches for promoting optimal health and gerontology services.  Graduates are highly competent and effective managers who are able to consistently perform in a professional and ethically responsible manner while overseeing the well-being and safety of aging individuals.

Requirements

  • Must have a 2.0 cumulative combined GPA for all accredited colleges or high school
  • Preferably you have four to five years of experience after high school
  • Submit college, high school transcripts or GED
  • If you have Military credits, you must request an official Military transcript
