Program Details

The online Master of Science in Education prepares teachers as leaders and is designed to prepare individuals to grow intellectually and spiritually, to share the achievement of organizational goals, to function more effectively within the classroom, and to operate effectively and efficiently regardless of the designed role within organizations.  The curriculum provides an in-depth view of all facets of education, expanding the students’ academic knowledge base, encouraging independent thought, and aiding the development of professional growth.  Coursework develops teacher leaders who are effective change agents and share in the achievement of organizational goals while being grounded in philosophical foundations and research skills.

Requirements

  • Must hold a bachelor's degree from an approved college or university
  • Intended for applicants holding a teaching certificate
  • Undergraduate quality point average of at least 2.5 (4.0 scale)
  • Official transcripts from all previous college studies
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Statement of good moral character
