Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University is a 4-year, private not-for-profit institution of higher learning located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that was founded in 1923. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools fully accredits this institution to award associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees. In addition to overall accreditation, the Radiologic Technology program, Physical Therapy program, Nurse Anesthesia and Nursing program have all earned specialized accreditation.
An objective of this institution is to offer a learning environment that is influenced by the ideals of collegiality, community, democracy, social justice, and the culture of life that promotes both a personal and social responsibility of life in accordance with the Catholic Church.
Degrees and certificates are awarded through two different colleges: the School of Nursing; and the School of Arts, Sciences, and Health Professions.
DISTANCE AND ONLINE EDUCATION
An RN to BSN degree is offered in a fully-online format in addition to many courses.
Both online and traditional students can also access a host of resources online through Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University, including the online bookstore and library services.
The university offers a tuition payment plan and the assistance and guidance of its financial aid office to help students with the cost of higher education.
