Program Details

A Bachelor of General Studies degree with a concentration in Human Services is available to the online student with Fort Hays State University.  This program is a combination of liberal arts courses with those centered in sociological work.  Studies include but are not limited to:

  • Gender roles
  • Family communication
  • Cultural anthropology  

Explore cultural diversity, community development, urbanization, environmental changes, and more.  Develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry skills through theoretical, evidence-based techniques.  Graduates with this degree may pursue  professional pathways in social work, counseling, case management, nursing, and other high-growth careers.

Requirements

  • Official transcripts from all previously attended schools
  • Students who are over the age of 21 do not need an ACT or SAT score 
  • A high school diploma or GED
