Sociology is the study of social life and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. The challenges we face today – changing family structures, cultural diversity, community development, globalization, urbanization, social inequality, terrorism, environmental change, migration – provide students with fantastic opportunities in fields with high social importance. A Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology develops strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and prepares students for a variety of rewarding careers where they can make a lasting impact on the lives of others.
