Program Details

The online Master of Science in Special Education with a specialization in Gifted, Talented, and Creative program is designed to improve the lives of children and youth with special needs, including children and youth with mild/moderate disabilities and/or children and youth who are gifted, talented, and creative.  The curriculum supports the needs of teachers, students, schools, and special education administrators as individuals learn about behavior management, characteristics of the gifted, needs of the gifted, and more.  Courses include Creative Teaching and Learning, Affective Needs of the Gifted, Consultation/Collaboration, and Assessment in Schools.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA on last 60 hours of college course work
  • Copy of teaching license (for licensure programs)
  • Two references
  • Two advance candidate assessment of dispositions
  • Disposition statement
  • Writing sample
