Program Details

Complete one of the few online strength and conditioning programs with this online kinesiology degree.  This program impacts education and research for sports scientists and coaches while the flexibility allows working coaches and other professionals to balance their educations and careers.  In addition to preparing students to assume roles in strength and conditioning, and sports coaching, this online physical education degree also increases national interest and awareness of the need to academically educate sports scientists and coaches and to target athletic performance rather than participation.  As a result, there should be fewer sports injuries and increased levels of performance achievement for athletes.  

The goal of this kinesiology degree is to teach professionals to support sports through research and education.  Students learn to:

• Improve athlete performance
• Better understand the role of sport and sport performance in the nation’s health
• Better understand the impact of disability, injury, and disease on sports participation and performance

While not required, there are opportunities for involvement in coaching clinics, continuing education programs, and activities that permeate the sports community.
