Drexel University offers an online Post-Master’s Certificate for Nurse Practitioners interested in focusing on Pediatric Acute Care. The program is designed for nurses with a MSN degree, to prepare them to deliver advanced care to infants, children, and adolescents.

The online Nurse Practitioner degree program builds on students’ primary care experience with courses that emphasize evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and use of technology. Graduates will be equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to treat acute, critical, and complex youth health conditions. 

Coursework includes topics such as:

  • Episodic care of infants, children, and adolescents in primary care
  • PNP management of the medically fragile and technology dependent child in the community
  • Pharmacology for the pediatric nurse practitioner
  • Primary care of infants, children, and adolescents

  • Current PALS certification required
