Drexel University offers a Master of Science in Addictions Counseling, an online substance abuse counseling degree.  This program enables students to apply evidence-based practices to meet the needs of people with drug and alcohol use disorders and behavioral addictions.  Students of this program will learn about professional processes for behavioral interventions and preventing drug and alcohol abuse.  You will improve your effectiveness in responding to clinical problems associated with substance abuse disorders and the growing opioid epidemic in such fields as probation and parole, criminal justice, nursing, physician assistants, and public health.  The curriculum also prepares students to work with substance abuse, behavioral disorder, and mental health patients and their families, including those who suffer from:
