Drexel University offers a Graduate Certificate in Substance Use Disorders, an online substance abuse counseling degree.  This program offers a comprehensive foundation on the issue of substance use, as well as therapies used to treat it.  Throughout the program, students will expand their knowledge of both prevention and treatment through integrated remedies.  You will study the bio-psycho-social nature of addiction, gaining a higher level of expertise in substance use disorders treatment.  The curriculum covers advanced evidence-based treatment competencies and the dynamics of substance abuse along with crime, productivity, and health care costs associated with substance abuse.  Graduates will have the educational training hours needed to either obtain or maintain credentials as drug/alcohol counseling professionals.
