Improve patient care and expand your practice with Drake University’s online MS in Clinical Psychopharmacology. This post-doctoral degree, which is the only program of its kind in the state of Iowa, gives psychologists the knowledge and expertise needed to sit for the Psychopharmacology Exam for Psychologists (PEP) and prescribe psychiatric medication in Iowa and other states. Finish your degree in two years or less and qualify for professional advancement as a leader and expert in your field.

Because the online MS in Clinical Psychopharmacology is delivered through Drake’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, you’ll gain a deep understanding of pharmacology related to psychology and psychiatry. You will complete online courses, in-person labs, and a post-degree fellowship over the duration of your program.

Our faculty includes full-time and adjunct instructors who are subject matter experts with a wide range of academic expertise, clinical research, and field experience. You will learn from pharmacists, scientists, clinicians, nurses, physicians, and psychologists to graduate as a well-rounded professional ready for interprofessional collaboration.

When you complete your program, you will be qualified to pursue APA certification for prescriptive practice. Drake is seeking American Psychological Association Prescriptive Authority Program Designation for the MS in Clinical Psychopharmacology with the aim of receiving designation prior to the first graduating class.
