Program Details
Dallas Theological Seminary offers a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies. Whether called to the mission field in another country or to a cross-cultural context in a local neighborhood, the MAIS program prepares students to love neighbors with the truth of the gospel. The master’s program at DTS combines Bible and theology coursework along with specific training in cross-cultural communication that may be applied in local or international settings.
Classes include, but are not limited to:
- Cultural dynamics in ministry
- Intercultural communication
- Ministry formation internship
Graduates have a solid understanding of anthropology, ethnology, and sociology related to intercultural service. No thesis is required for this degree. Students in the MAIS program are required to take MinistrySafe’s Sexual Abuse Awareness Training.
