Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary provides training that is biblically focused for students who wish to enter counseling careers in church, institutional, and private settings. Students learn counseling to address the body, mind, and soul of individuals. Meeting course requirements enables graduates to apply for licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and/or a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with appropriate state licensing board of many states.

The Master of Arts in Counseling classes include, but are not limited to:

  • Family systems
  • Group counseling

DTS courses integrate Logos bible software into the curriculum. The DTS counseling program includes coursework that covers psychological, spiritual, emotional, and physical issues and includes the same Bible and theology courses taken by pastors and other professionals in ministry.
