Program Details

Colorado Christian University offers an online Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Visionary Leadership to aspiring students.  This practice-focused degree is designed for nurse administrators, practitioners, educators, specialists, or anyone currently holding an MSN degree.  Studies will cover topics including but not limited to:

  • Ethics and Advocacy
  • DNP Project Development
  • Healthcare Policy

Students will develop evidence-based practice through innovative, essential research methods.  This curriculum requires an advanced practicum involving direct patient care, leadership, indirect care, and quality improvement.  Graduates with this advanced degree are prepared to pursue positions such as Director of Nursing, CNO, consulting, professional education, clinical practice, entrepreneurship, and more.

Requirements

  • A graduate GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Have an active, unrestricted or unencumbered RN license in the state in which the clinical/practicum experience will be completed
  • Have completed a master’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
