Program Details

The Bachelor of Arts in Special Education / Non-Licensure degree is designed for adult students nationwide and abroad (see exclusions below) who wish to become special education teachers and obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree without licensure. Graduates may teach K-12 special education in schools that do not require licensure. These include some public charter schools, private schools, and international schools that do not require licensure. Student teaching is not required, although teacher candidates are required to complete field experiences during the fall and spring semesters.

The College of Education & Adult Studies (CAGS) does not offer Educator Licensure or Non-Licensure (Undergraduate or Graduate) courses to online students who reside in Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, or Kentucky.
