The online Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice program provides students with the skills, abilities, and knowledge needed to become criminal justice practitioners or to continue their educations. The curriculum explains the legal and professional aspects of the criminal justice system, integrating crime control and identifying factors that contribute to deviant behavior while explaining the three components of the criminal justice system, police, corrections, and the courts. You will learn to analyze the crime problem in the United States, including different types of crimes; evaluate current issues related to crime prevention and the rehabilitation of offenders; and use effective communication skills applicable in law enforcement, corrections, or criminal law.
