Program Details

The online Educational Specialist in Instructional Technology program is designed for teachers and other professionals who have earned master’s degrees in any discipline and are interested in extending their abilities in instructional technology.  The curriculum teaches candidates to design, develop, implement, evaluate, and manage technology in order to improve teaching and learning in schools, businesses, government, healthcare, military, and other industries.  Required courses include Principles of Instructional Design, Technology in Curricula, Instructional Technology Tools, Psychology of Instructional Technology, and Graphic Design for Instruction.


  • Official transcripts 
  • A master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 
  • At least 6 credit hours of graduate coursework in Instructional Technology or related field completed within the past six years
  • Two letters of recommendation 
  • A written statement of educational and career goals
