Program Details

The online Master of Science in Special Education program is designed for students who currently hold special education certification and desire knowledge of characteristics and special education services.  The curriculum teaches students to analyze the needs of individuals with disabilities or who are at risk for disabilities and develop goals and designs for them.  Students will also be able to implement individualized education plans for these individuals.


  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Official Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
  • Current resume including work experience
  • Undergraduate minimum GPA is 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Teacher certification. Submit copy as of evidence of certification
  • Admission to provisional status may be granted at the discretion of the graduate faculty if the applicant's GPA is less than 3.0/4.0 scale
