Program Details

The online Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program prepares students for a variety of professions, including corrections, offender rehabilitation, substance abuse counseling, conflict resolution, policy development, law enforcement, and law.  Students will learn about the three major components of the criminal justice system: police, courts, and corrections, and will learn to apply theoretical models that attempt to explain crime causes.  You will be able to explain ethical and professional behavior in the criminal justice system, know how to apply research and statistics to the analysis of data, and learn to communicate effectively.  Students can choose from two concentrations:

  • General Criminal Justice
  • Victim Advocacy

Requirements

  • 9 semester hours of college credit from a regionally-accredited institution
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Official transcripts
  • Minimum 16 years of age
