Program Details

The online Certificate of Achievement in Child Development Associate Teacher program prepares educators to qualify for Assistant Teacher permits, providing them with the minimal level of education required to work with children in a group setting.  The curriculum teaches students to examine teaching and care practices that provide developmentally appropriate programs to support children’s growth, development, and learning.  Students will also identify their own values, experiences, and philosophies and how they guide and inform practices.  Courses are taken in the core areas of development; child, family, and community; and curriculum.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or CHSPE certificate, or 18 years of age
