This Graduate Certificate in Director of Special Education is the first step in a series of two certificates. You can choose to stop after earning the Level I certificate or continue on to pursue Level II certification.This online special education program emphasizes a Christian perspective to prepare educators to become servant leaders.
In Level 1, you will learn about planning, improvement, and quality evaluation of special education programs. Courses additionally cover legal and ethical considerations of this facet of the American education system. Students also undertake a supervised field experience where they can gain real world experience with common issues such as enforcement of policies and procedures, budgeting, and utilizing support services.
