Program Details

The online Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting is flexible, allowing students to work while studying and also consists of courses which prepare students for a variety of options after graduation, allowing graduates to contribute positively to society on multiple levels and find excellent job opportunities.  Courses teach about analyzing and reporting financial transactions, how to create and interpret financial documents, and other skills students may choose, such as learning how to apply scientific knowledge to a legal problem in forensic accounting.  Graduates find employment opportunities as CPAs in firms, corporations, government, and nonprofit organizations, or can continue their educations in law school, in Master of Business Administration degrees or Master of Accountancy degrees.

Requirements

This is a bachelors completion program. A total of 124 credits are required, including transfer credit.

Program requires of the of the following:

  • Student must have an earned Associate of Applied Science degree in the proposed concentration, from a regionally accredited college or regionally accredited technical school.
  • Or have completed a military service school that has a minimum of 10 semester hours of qualifying applied science credits, in the degree field being pursued, as recommended by the American Council on Education (ACE), and/or been awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS for Army and Marine Corps, Air Force Specialty Code [AFSC] for Air Force, Naval Enlisted Code [NEC] for Navy) that is comparable to (A) above.
