Program Details

Develop effective plans and policies to address current and future public health issues with the Master of Public Health from California State University San Marcos. This accelerated program can be completed in 15 months. Online and on-ground learning is available, so you can choose the format that fits your life and goals. 

Our comprehensive curriculum is focused on addressing health disparities and embracing diversity locally and globally. Through research, service learning and internships, you will gain the advanced knowledge and skills to make a tangible impact in the field. Faculty come from diverse backgrounds in the public health space and bring real-world experience to the classroom.

The MPH program features a 120-hour service-learning course that allows you to apply your new skills and build your professional network by working with a partner organization or health agency. In addition, you will specialize your studies by choosing a concentration in Health Promotion and Education or Global Health. 

Graduates of CSUSM’s MPH program are culturally aware, engaged public health professionals who are prepared to work with diverse communities and populations in a range of contexts. When you finish your program, you’ll have the expertise to pursue careers in public administration, epidemiology, community health, healthcare management and more.
