The online Graduate Certificate in Community College Teaching program is designed for those who hold a master’s degree in a subject area taught at the community college level, are in a final phase of a graduate degree program, or are currently employed as instructors in a community college. The curriculum offers a well-rounded learning experience based on theory blended with a teaching practicum, preparing students for careers in community college teaching or for career advancement in the field. Graduates apply the principles of sound instructional techniques for community college-level teaching and demonstrate application of appropriate teaching styles and modalities for diverse student populations at the community college.
This program requires a one semester internship consisting of classroom instruction.
