Brenau’s education programs are accredited by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission for Teacher Education Programs (GaPSC), so you can be confident you’re earning an advanced credential recognized for high academic standards and quality. All students in the MAT: Special Education program earn a concentration in language arts, mathematics, reading, science or social studies alongside their degree.
You will complete field experience and nine clinical hours through an internship or student teaching. Our 100% online coursework explores topics essential for special education classrooms, including assessment methods, applied behavioral analysis, inclusive learning environments and more.
