Finish your degree in five semesters and begin your career as an educator. This program is designed specifically for those who want to become teachers but earned their bachelor’s degree in another field.
Brenau’s education programs are accredited by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission for Teacher Education Programs (GaPSC), so you can be confident you’re earning an advanced credential recognized for high academic standards and quality. All students in the MAT program also earn a reading endorsement alongside their degree.
The 100% online coursework explores topics like literacy, teaching methods, instructional planning and educational psychology. You will gain hands-on field experience through an internship or student teaching, completing nine clinical hours over the duration of your program.
When you graduate, you’ll be ready to take the Georgia Assessment for the Certification of Educators (GACE) exam. Possible career paths include preschool teacher, childcare center teacher and elementary school educator.
