Program Details

Develop your content area knowledge and learn to teach science effectively at the elementary level with Brenau University’s online K–5 Science Endorsement. This nine-credit hour program can be completed as a standalone credential or incorporated into an education graduate degree. A bachelor’s degree, Level 4 teaching certificate and one year of teaching experience are required to apply.

The 100% online curriculum includes three courses focused on developing your understanding of science topics and pedagogy to grow your instructional expertise. Study physical, earth, planetary and life science, learn teaching methods specific to science and prepare to plan, implement and deliver science content based on best practices. You will also complete practicum experience at the K–1, 2–3 and 4–5 grade levels.

When you finish this program, you will have a deeper understanding of science education principles and be prepared to take the next step in your teaching career. An education endorsement is a valuable credential that can help you advance in your current role or prepare for new opportunities.
