Program Details

The online Associate of General Studies is a degree in liberal arts from Bossier Parish Community College.  This program is designed for students interested in utilizing the time they spend earning the associate’s degree to learn about a wide variety of core subjects before focusing on any one field.  This liberal arts degree works for students who need to decide on a career and for those who plan to move to a four-year institution to earn a bachelor’s degree.  You will gain a foundation in several disciplines, including English, mathematics, and science.

Requirements

  • High school diploma from a state approved high school, a state approved home school, or a school accredited by a regionally accredited agency, or a GED/HiSET (High School Equivalency) diploma
  • Selective Service System Registration (males 18 and above)
  • ACT or SAT scores (students who have not taken the ACT or SAT will be required to take the ACCUPLACER Placement Test)
