Program Details
Bay Path University offers both a licensure track and a non-licensure track for the Education Specialist in Reading & Literacy Instruction. For the non-licensure track, students do not need to complete a practicum. Instead, elective credits may be selected.
Any students holding the Orton-Gillingham Associate Level Certification can reduce their required credit hours for this online reading and literacy degree. All required credits can be completed online.
The program follows a cohort model, with students progressing through the online coursework together. The supportive faculty create an intimate, dynamic, and interactive community for optimal learning. Besides having access to a mentor, all students can take advantage of such services as:
- Tutoring
- Library resources
- Academic resources
- Career services
