Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Disabilities for Post-Secondary Settings with a concentration in Autism program is designed to help students promote success for students with autism at colleges, universities, businesses, and vocational and technical schools.  The curriculum provides the knowledge and skills for developing, implementing, and evaluating a continuum of supports that promote equitable access, participation, and educational and career success for students with autism.  

Courses are:

  • Education of Exceptional Children
  • Introduction to Disability Services in the Post-Secondary Setting
  • Accommodations and Assistive Technology for Post-Secondary Students with Disabilities
  • Introduction to the Law and Higher Education Issues for Students with Autism
  • Introduction to Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Requirements

  • Official transcripts
  • 2.75 GPA
  • A bachelor's degree is required
