Program Details

Philosophy students have an interest in understanding the world, themselves, and the relationship between the two. Austin Community College District offers an Associate of Arts in Philosophy degree that is designed to help individuals develop their skills in the following areas: listening and reading with discernment, articulating thoughts, and analyzing ideas and claims. Some of the coursework includes classes in ancient philosophy, ethics, social sciences, and logic. After the completion of this program, students will be prepared to pursue a four-year bachelor’s degree.
